Chateau Du Cedre Cahors GC 2014
The domain's Cuvée Prestige, GC gives off intense aromas of black fruits, spices, and subtle, woody notes from its élevage. On the palate, the wine is at once supple, powerful and generous, with a lovely structure. Made for laying down, this cuvée will amply reward several years of cellaring. To produce this nectar of the gods, the wine was fermented in new, open barrels with a 500-litre capacity, and punched down at the beginning of alcoholic fermentation. The wine was raised for two years, in the same barrels as those used for vinification, and bottled without being filtered.
