Château Sociando-Mallet 2017 -STOCKTAKE-

Château Sociando-Mallet may claim not to be "neither classified nor bourgeois", but it is still considered one of the best wines of the Haut-MÊdoc appellation. Its vineyard extends over an impressive area of 85 hectares composed of gravelly soil on a clay-limestone subsoil where vines of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (40%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) are planted.
The wines of the estate benefit from a traditional maturing period of 12 months in new barrels followed by 6 months in vats to harmonize production.

Château Sociando-Mallet 2017 has a superb purple colour with a garnet hue on the edge of the glass and a nose of ripe and spicy red berries wrapped in woody and earthy forest notes.
On the palate, Château Sociando-Mallet 2017 is moderately powerful and very well structured thanks to silky tannins that envelop and sublimate the aromas of fresh and crisp red fruits.
