Descendientes de J. Palacios 'Corullón' Mencia 2018 (1500ml)

The 'village' wine - Corullón being the village in Bierzo where these wonderful hillside bush-vines occur at their finest. Corullón is the summation of 210 distinct, bio-dynamically farmed parcels of fruit. Pure, with red cherry, wild spice and a complex perfume - wild strawberry, mulberry, wildflowers, pickled cherry, violets and lilac over fennel, smokey meat, moss, forest floor and cold charcoal. The dark, meaty-mineral palate is deep, silky and sumptuous, driven by fine tannin. It has good flesh and concentration, but line and focus equally and good acid balance to finish.
