The wine is powerful yet briskly mineral-driven—cool-toned and stony—with tight-grained dark fruit and tons of spice; indeed, notwithstanding its lighter emotional pitch and tannic structure, it may strike one as the southerly country cousin of Morey-Saint-Denis.
