Fletcher Barbaresco Docg 2023

David Fletcher has been working with Ronchi fruit since 2020, using it quietly as a blending component in Recta Pete while monitoring the vineyard closely and making improvements season by season. The quality benchmark he set was finally reached in 2022. The 2023 is only the second release under a single vineyard label.

An east-facing block receiving only morning sun, Ronchi ripens slowly and with real precision. One hundred percent destemmed, open fermented and aged for twenty-four months in seasoned three hundred litre barrels, three months in bottle before release. A cru only just beginning to reveal its full potential.
