Gunderloch Fritz's Riesling 2024

Fritz Hasselbach of Gunderloch was a wonderful friend of CellarHand: Affable, humble and hugely proud of his vineyards on the Roter Hang in Germany’s Rheinhessen. This wine is a tribute to the great man, made by his son Johannes Hasselbach, and it’s a fast-track passport to the pleasures of dry German Riesling. It shows aromatic lift, lovely stone fruit and lime, fresh natural acidity and a light dusting of spice. Dry, fresh and full of character, it’s a top-value winner.
