The 2021 Eligo opens with attractive waves of black fruit, accented by hints of anise, clove, and florals. Richly textured, the palate reveals a multitude of tightly packed dark fruit layers—deep, pure-fruited, and commanding—complemented by subtle notes of ironstone and licorice. Integrated, chocolatey tannins provide a long, harmonious finish. While seductive in its primary fruited youth, this wine will reward at least five years of cellaring and promises to age gracefully for over two decades.
