Philip Shaw No. 11 Chardonnay 2023

The No11 Chardonnay is sourced from blocks 6 11 and 12 and is crafted from hand-harvested grapes with overnight settlement. Indigenous yeasts were used for fermentation within French oak barriques of which 30% were new oak. Partial malolactic fermentation and battonage took place during maturation. Pale straw in colour with a green hue the Chardonnay displays white florals and stone fruits on the nose along with a bright citrus lift. On the palate its powerful yet elegant body is accompanied by savoury layers of toasty oak and cashew nut to create depth and complexity.
