Thierry is among the finest exponents of Loire Cabernet Franc, and this ungrafted vineyard in Saumur is another highlight. Planted on deep sand over limestone, it's a Cabernet Franc of real substance, darker in fruit profile to the likes of Les Memoires and La Marginale, traced by signature Germain elegance and refinement.
Expect black olive, licorice and black fruit richness and a grainy tannin structure. Haunting expression.
