Sister's Run St Ann's McLaren Vale Grenache 2021

Mild purple-velvet. A colour that might suit a young person’s bowtie. Mulberry and blackberry preserve; classic grenache aromatics of boiled lollies and berried confectionery. Spice, also; aniseed, lemon thyme. Lifting and light and attractive. The palate tingles with more mulberry, plum and blackberry fruits which are both mouth-filling and quick-silvered. The hint of fruit depth, yet an overall medium-bodied tone and texture. Speaking of which: gentle tannins and quietly spoken acidity. Youthful austerity you would expect from McLaren Vale Grenache but fine and flavoursome keeping with the sensations registered by the nose.
